YORK City Knights half-back Connor Robinson is suspended for the club's first home match of the Betfred Championship season against Bradford Bulls, the RFL have confirmed.

Robinson was sent off in the Knights' third and final pre-season match away to Bradford last weekend at the Tetley's Stadium after an incident of punching against second-row Elliott Culling.

The match was cut short by the referee due to poor light, shortly after various aggressive incidents between the two sets of players in the second half, with the Bulls winning 6-4.

Robinson's half-back partner Ben Johnston was yellow carded for his part in the scuffle, though a sin bin was deemed sufficient by the match review panel.

A Grade B charge has been handed to Robinson, meaning he receives a one-match penalty notice, beginning with the league match against Bradford on Sunday, February 9.

The Knights scrum-half will still be available for selection by head coach James Ford for Saturday's trip to Toulouse Olympique.
