THE whole of the South Stand at the LNER Community Stadium will have unallocated seating on a matchday, York City have confirmed.
Prior the announcement, the South Stand have previously had unallocated seating in just two sections.
However, the switch to have the entire stand as having unallocated seating follows on from feedback at the club's fans forum last week.
The decision was described as a "priority" in a club statement, who added "we have listened and changed accordingly."
The statement read: "Supporters will still receive an allocated seat number on their ticket, due to how the ticketing system works, but we will not enforce people to sit in that allocated number in the South Stand on a matchday.
"This will be firmly communicated to those buying tickets in the South Stand to avoid confusion.
"Instructions to current season ticket holders regarding selecting your seat for the rest of the season at the Stadium will be released in the near future."
