RYEDALE IBC start the new season this week off the back of 18 months of increasing membership.
The social 'turn up and play' sessions - with a casual dress-code and a break for tea and a chat - are increasingly popular, the club say.
Players wishing to start or resume playing bowls are welcome to the Social sessions on Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays at 10.30am or Tuesdays at 2.30pm. Other sessions can be arranged for groups of friends or colleagues.
Beginners and established bowlers alike are welcome, with the first two taster sessions free. Introductory coaching is available and equipment can be provided until players feel ready to buy their own.
Social membership costs £5 per year plus £5 per session. Full membership is £40 per year or £25 for the half year plus £3 per session.
For more information, either go to the club, visit ryedaleindoorbowls.com or phone Dave on 07950136371.
