THE Senior Trophy quarter-finals took centre stage in the Fastpack York Sunday Morning League programme on Saturday - and it did not disappoint as Bishopthorpe and Tang Hall WMC served up a 3-3 thriller of a draw.

Man-of-the-match John Moore bagged a hat-trick for Tang Hall as they battled their way to a 9-8 victory in the penalty shootout after the full-time whistle.

Joining Tang Hall in the semi-final draw will be holders Atlanta, who gained a 5-0 success at Hambleton. Sean Hunter (3), Carl Brockhill and Scott Johnson hit the Atlanta goals.

Wigginton Grasshoppers also made the last four after a 5-3 triumph at Bramham. John Cavanagh (2), Cameron Mulhearn and James Robinson all bagged from open play for Hoppers, with James Edmond completing their scoring from the penalty spot.

The Junior Trophy also saw goals, with Dylan Howlett and Tom Robinson both hitting braces for Clock House as they won 4-3 at Acomb Club in their quarter-final tie.

In the only league game of the day, Thorpe United edged out local rivals Malt Shovel 3-2 in division one.
