YORK professional boxer Cam Shaw maintained his undefeated professional record after taking a points win over Batley’s Nabil Ahmed.

Shaw won a 40-37 verdict from referee Ron Kearney after four rounds at the Kingston Suite at Hull’s KCOM Stadium.

The victory for the super featherweight leaves his record at four wins from as many professional fights heading into the new year.

Shaw said on social media: "What an awesome night for both me and Lewis Sylvester (camp mate) to win our fights and finish the year off on a high!

"We're now 4-0, and that was my best performance to date.

"A big thank you to everyone that has come to my fights this year. The support has been awesome and I hope it continues to build!"
