LESS than a week after making his professional debut, boxer George Davey already has a date set for his second contest.

The York fighter kicked off his career in the paid ranks with a clear points win over Zygimantas Butkevicius at the First Direct Arena in Leeds on Saturday.

Up next for the 21-year-old is a trip to the Midlands for a bout at the Arena Birmingham on Saturday, November 30.

Davey’s contest, most likely to be another four-round fight, will take place on a bumper card hosted by his promoter Frank Warren of Queensbury Promotions.

British super featherweight champion Sam Bowen headlines the night in a defence of his Lonsdale belt against Anthony Cacace.

There are five other title fights on the bill too.

Lerrone Richards and Lennox Clarke compete for the British and Commonwealth super middleweight titles.

John Reil Casimero puts his WBO bantamweight world crown on the line against former titlist Zolani Tete.

The British welterweight champion Chris Jenkins faces Liam Taylor.

And super lightweight Sam Maxwell and super welterweight Hamzah Sheeraz both defend their WBO European titles. Maxwell takes on Connor Parker while Sheeraz’s opponent is yet to be named.

Hall of Fame promoter Warren said: “I am absolutely thrilled to be heading back to Birmingham.

“It’s been a while since we’ve staged a show there and this is going to be an absolute cracker.

“There’s going to be so much quality on this show.”

Tickets are now on general sale, priced at £40, £50, £75, £100, £150 and £250.
