YORK volleyball player Will Miller will represent England this weekend at the under-17s Northern Europe Championships.

Miller, 16, began playing volleyball aged eight before joining York volleyball club at just 13.

The talented youngster earned a spot in the England Cadets squad last October and has been part of their training set up ever since.

This weekend, Miller flies to Denmark as England U17s compete in the NEZVA Championships.

The event takes place each year in October and includes teams from Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Faroe Islands and Iceland.

Stewart Miller, Will’s father, said “We’re incredibly proud of Will and want to thank the coaches and staff at York Volleyball Club, the Yorkshire Volleyball Association and Volleyball England for their hard work and in helping him achieve this goal”.

The championships will be streamed live on the Facebook at: https://www.facebook.com/nevzau17/
