YORK Fastpack Sunday Morning League leaders Atlanta made it two wins out of two with a 3-2 defeat of Malt Shovel.

Shane Hand scored twice, with Ben Murphy adding for the visitors. Cameron Crowder struck both goals for hosts Shovel.

After two rounds of fixtures, Atlanta's goal difference is one better than Hambleton's, who also have six points, following their 3-1 win at Tang Hall WMC.

Hambleton's goals came from John Matthews, Eddie Wileman and Kane Snelson gave them a 3-1 success. Adam Guildford replied.

Ian Beckram and Chris Jackson (2) struck for Hounds but could not deny Bishopthorpe CFC collecting a second victory of the season as they ran out 5-3 winners and kept tabs on the top two.

There were plenty of goals in the local derby between Wigginton Grasshoppers and Haxby Town, which ended 5-3 to hosts Wigginton.

Dan Clipston opened the scoring for Haxby after just five minutes with a 35-yard lob but Wiggy struck back before the break. Alastair Clothier smashed home from the left before George Brown produced a deft lob from near the right touchline to give hosts Wigginton a 2-1 lead at the interval.

Brown added a second after the restart before Matthew Mulhearn made it 4-1 as Wiggy pulled clear.

But Adam Douse had other ideas, making it 4-2 before Sam Gough forced the ball home from close range to make it 5-2.

A late Douse finish capped off the goal-fest.

Bramham put four past Thorpe United without reply.

York Medics continue to lead the way in division two following a 4-3 victory over K-Town, for whom Brunno Wray (2) and Thomas Drake hit the target.

Elvington Harriers also maintained a perfect start after a hard fought 6-5 win at York FC, while Clock House sit third following a 6-5 defeat of Walnut Tree, whose Oliver Shimmin scored a hat-trick.

Alex Day hit a double hat-trick as Acomb Club ran riot at FC Pollington, winning 9-2. Tommy Medd (2) and Cole Carter rounded off the scoring for Acomb.

Tom Lazenby and Andre Porter's penalty earned Selby Olympia a point from their clash with Rawcliffe United.
