TADCASTER Albion are in FA Cup action tomorrow - at their newly-christened Global Stadium home.

Global Autocare is an independent vehicle leasing and rental company who have been Taddy’s main shirt sponsors for the last six seasons and have replaced i2i with the naming rights to the Brewers’ Ings Lane ground.

Northern Premier League premier division strugglers Ashton United are the visitors for this auspicious occasion in the first qualifying round of the Cup (3pm).

Lancastrian outfit Ashton have drawn two and lost three of their league games this term - including both of their away trips.

Taddy overcame Frickley Athletic 1-0 in the preliminary round to reach this stage, where Step 3 teams enter the competition. They come into the game unbeaten in three NPL north/west games, most recently drawing 1-1 at Prescot Cables thanks to summer signing Ioan Evans’ first goal of the season.

North/west division rivals Pickering Town also have a Cup date.

Having ousted North East Counties League premier division side Bridlington Town in the last round, tomorrow they travel across the Pennines to another Step 5 team in 1874 Northwich.

The Pikes will hope they fare better in the Cup than in the league, where they have lost five from five.

Last time out, Town were beaten 2-1 at Marine, with Danny Earl - who has been a revelation for the Mill Lane outfit since signing in February - scoring his fifth of the campaign in all competitions.

Second-placed in NCEL division one, Selby Town could find themselves top of the table if results go their way on Saturday.

The Robins travel to Nostell Miners Welfare off the back of four straight league wins and a 2-0 FA Vase first qualifying round triumph at Avro.

With a superior goal difference, table-toppers Skegness Town visit sixth-placed Parkgate.
