YORK City Knights have announced the signing of second rower Danny King from fellow Betfred Championship side Dewsbury Rams on loan until the end of the 2019 season.
King joined Dewsbury during the off-season following a spell at Bradford Bulls, but has been restricted to just five appearances, with four of those coming from the bench.
The 21-year-old is one of many academy graduates from Widnes Vikings, having began his professional career with the Merseyside club.
Head coach James Ford said: "Danny is a player who has potential to really kick on as long as he works hard at all areas linked to his game.
"He’s a very tall player with good skills and could develop into a good backrower."
King is available for selection immediately and could feature this Saturday as the Knights head to Canada to face league leaders Toronto Wolfpack.
