YORK City were held to a 0-0 draw by Farsley Celtic at Bootham Crescent.
The Minstermen were unable to break down the newly-promoted side on Tuesday night, having opened their Vanarama National League North campaign with a 3-1 win at Altrincham on Saturday.
Manager Steve Watson was left frustrated by the draw, saying "nothing quite dropped for us".
