EARLY Yorkshire Amateur Bowling Association division one pace-setters RI Corinthians got back to winning ways on Monday after an 8-0 home defeat by Holgate WMC.
The Ashton Lane outfit remain five points clear at the summit, having won 6-2 at Selby. Reigning champions Holgate, meanwhile, sit third off the back of an 8-0 victory on Monday at home to Dringhouses.
On Saturday, Phil Emmerson helped Holgate to a good start at Corinthians. Gary Lewington triumphed in a to-and-fro rink against Mal Bulmer to seal victory.
Haxby Road lost 8-0 to second-placed Dunnington on Saturday. Dunnington then beat RI Amateurs 7-1.
Selby won 6-2 at Poppleton on Saturday while RI Amateurs lost 7-1 to Rowntree, who went down 6-2 to Clifton.
Division two leaders Copmanthorpe enjoyed a 6-2 win at Poppleton Road WMC on Saturday and a 7-1 win over Minster in the week. West Park beat Retreat 6-2 before losing out 7-1 to Hull Road Park and Stamford Bridge won 7-1 at Retreat.
Osbaldwick overcame Stamford Bridge 6-2 but lost 7-1 to Shipton 7-1, while Scarcroft's Monday game ended in an 8-0 whitewash victory to Poppleton Road.
