YORK City’s Past Players’ Association will hold a Daniel Parslow Tribute Dinner at York Racecourse on Thursday, October 31.

The evening, which includes a three-course meal, will begin at 7.30pm.

Former players and supporters will all have the chance to pay tribute on the night to Parslow, who is the only person to have won City’s Clubman of the Year award three times and is tenth on the team’s all-time appearances list having made 383 outings during 11-and-a-half years of service.

Commenting on the event, City goalkeeping legend Graeme Crawford, who is also the Past Players’ Association’s chairman, said: “After staging several successful events over the years, York City Past Players are pleased and proud to be organising this special dinner for one of our most treasured members.

“Daniel has been a great servant to the club, and we are looking forward to a great night of celebration in October.”

An honoured Parslow added: “I’d like to thank Graeme Crawford and the organising committee for staging this fantastic event for me. It will be something really special and to be recognised like this really means a lot to me.

“I hope that, as well as welcoming my family, friends and former teammates, lots of York City supporters, who have followed me throughout my career, can attend to share this moment with me.”

Parslow has asked the organising committee to set the lowest ticket price possible, to widen the opportunity for City supporters to attend.

Tickets, therefore, cost £40 per person and reservations for individuals or tables of ten can now be made by e-mailing parslowdinner@gmail.com

Further details, including the menu, hosting arrangements and guests, will be announced at a later date.
