OUT-OF-CONTRACT striker Jon Parkin has announced that he will be leaving York City.
The 37-year-old striker was the Minstermen's top scorer with 25 goals in 2017/18, but found his opportunities limited to five starts and 19 substitute outings last term, hitting the target just three times.
Parkin revealed he will be departing Bootham Crescent on his Twitter account, stating: "Now the dust has settled, I would just like to say a massive thank you to York City for having me in both my spells. I thoroughly enjoyed them both and will always be looking out for results.
"Hopefully more successful times are just around the corner. Si thi, Parky x."
