TADCASTER Albion are hoping to win a £25,000 bursary to create a new hospitality area at their Ings Lane ground.

The Brewers are bidding for a share of the 2019 Buildbase £100,000 Transfer Deal, along with five other clubs, who have participated in either the FA Trophy or FA Vase competitions this season.

Taddy and officials from fellow successful finalists Long Eaton United, AFC Portchester, AFC Darwen, AFC Rushden & Diamonds and Felixstowe & Walton United, will now pitch their proposals to a panel of Wembley judges on February 21.

The £25,000 product bursary would include building, electrical and hire materials to complete the planned renovation, which would involve the replacement of the portable building at the i2i Stadium that currently hosts executive visitors.

Albion have already secured the highest number of public votes for its application, with Hanwell Town, Cleethorpes Town, Cheadle Town and Needham Market all previous winners of the bursaries.

The £100,000 Transfer Deal will reopen for applications in May, when a further £50,000 will be up for grabs.

Buildbase’s managing director Paul Roche said: “The six clubs have done brilliantly to get this far. At pitch day, we’ll be looking for the clubs that demonstrate incredible passion for making their facilities fantastic for the fans as well as their local communities.”
