FORMER York City midfielder Paddy McLaughlin has rejoined York City.

McLaughlin, who was a member of the Minstermen’s double Wembley-winning squad of 2012, has returned to the club on loan from National League Hartlepool United until the end of the season.

Now 28, the former Newcastle United trainee made 88 appearances during his first spell with the Minstermen between 2011 and 2013, scoring 17 goals.

He then spent two years at Grimsby Town before joining National League club Gateshead, where he played 145 times, including for current City chief Steve Watson last season.
