YORK City assistant manager Stuart Parnaby has left the club in the wake of Sam Collins' departure.

Parnaby joined the Bootham Crescent staff in the summer under the then manager Martin Gray.

Collins was sacked on Saturday night after the team's 1-0 at minnows Curzon Ashton left them 15th in National League North. The club have now confirmed Parnaby has also departed.

A club statement read: "The club's board would like to thank Stuart for his hard work and professionalism."
