YORK City Knights have unveiled their new kit for the 2019 season - as well as a new main shirt sponsorship deal.

To mark the return to the Betfred Championship next year, the club will also revert to York's traditional old colours of predominantly black and amber hoops.

The 2018 home shirts were mainly white with narrow black and amber hoops.

The new main sponsors, meanwhile, are York St John University, with whom the 2018 League One champions already have a strong partnership on and off the field, not least with their offices and training base being at the uni's state-of-the-art sports centre in Haxby Road.

The new sponsorship deal sees the York St John name emblazoned on both the front and back of the 2019 jerseys, as pictured above.

Knights general manager Neil Gulliver said of the agreement: "We already do a lot of work with York St John and hopefully this will be the continuation of a really good partnership."

The new home shirts for 2019 were unveiled at the club's Fans' Forum at their training ground tonight.
