TADCASTER Albion are looking for their fifth away league win on the bounce when they travel to play-off rivals Lincoln United tomorrow.

The Brewers sit third in the Evo-Stik League east division, a place behind Saturday's hosts, having bagged back-to-back wins at Wisbech Town, Cleethorpes Town, Belper Town and Spalding United - scoring 13 goals in the process.

At home, though, Taddy have not been as consistent, winning only one of their last five in all competitions.

Last weekend, they were held to an eventful 2-2 draw by fourth-placed Brighouse Town in a game which saw Taddy twice take the lead before needing stand-in keeper James Hodges to secure a point with a late penalty save.

However, although disappointing, this has not unduly concerned the club.

Asked if they were looking forward to be playing away from their i2i Stadium home tomorrow, spokesman Jay Taylor said: "A month ago, we would have said yes, but we played very well on Saturday. It wasn't a below-par or abject performance.

"It's not a case of 'we can't wait to get on the road again'.

"We're looking to keep our away form going. We've won our last four away from home and we're going in full of confidence. There's no reason we shouldn't be.

"I don't think we're playing at our best yet and we're still near second. The managers are upbeat they can get more out of the lads."

On the Brighouse game, he added: "We should have won. We'll take a draw after the late penalty save but we feel we should have had all three.

"It's a shame we couldn't get the win ahead of a difficult December and a slight disappointment going into Saturday's game. (Managers) Simon Collins and Mikey Morton were frustrated - it was a big opportunity to get one over on Brighouse.

"But we're still unbeaten in nine (league) games and that's a positive."

Tomorrow's opponents, second-placed Lincoln United, are well within Taddy's sights. The Whites, though, have lost just one of their last seven outings.

Taylor said: "We're expecting a very tough game. They got points on the board early on, although we're two points behind them with two games in hand.

"Our away form is very good and if we get the win there it will suit us perfectly.

"I'm sure Lincoln will be up for it, knowing they've played two games more."

Keeper Michael Ingham is out until January with a thumb fracture, with Hodges continuing to deputise. Paddy Miller will also miss Saturday's game, so Josh Barrett moves to centre-back and Ellis Barkworth comes in at right-back.

Fellow east division outfit Pickering Town do not have have a fixture until December 15 when they visit Pontefract Collieries.

Recently deposed former leaders Scarborough Athletic host Hyde United in the premier division.

Third-placed Selby Town will be looking to recover from their first Northern Counties East League defeat in seven when they host Harworth Colliery in division one.

In the premier division, Knaresborough Town visit Barton Town following last week's 6-0 thumping of strugglers Harrogate Railway Athletic. The Rail host Athersley Recreation.

National League high-fliers Harrogate Town will look to recover from defeat at Solihull Moors when they welcome Aldershot Town.
