PICKERING'S Paul Davison is through to round two of the Betway UK Snooker Championship following a 6-1 victory over Stuart Carrington at York Barbican.
The Ryedale potter dropped only the fifth frame as he recorded a comfortable victory that included breaks of 77 and 58.
In the next round - at 1pm on Sunday, December 2 - he will face the Chinese 18-year-old Yan Bingtao, who saw off 22-year-old German Lukas Kleckers 6-1 today.
Carrington's sole frame win came with a break of 66.
