In the Junior Cup, Heworth reserves defeated Poppleton reserves thanks to Josh Wing (2) and Shane Smith. Liam Keenaghan (2), Danny Cates and James Ford helped Rufforth overcome Malt Shovel reserves 4-1.

Declan Richardson (3), Alex Day, Bobby Clapham and Max Rollinson saw Civil Service beat Stamford Bridge 6-2.

In the York Minster Engineering League Reserve A, Huntington Rovers saw off Old Malton St Mary’s 5-2, courtesy of Lee Bunce (3), Ashley Hill and Paul Scaife.

Pocklington were 6-2 victors over Hemingbrough, for whom Ricki Hutton and Matthew Zacharenko netted.

James Sutton secured a 1-0 win for Wigginton Grasshoppers against Church Fenton whilst Andrew Fishburn and Nick Lawrie got Osbaldwick’s consolations in a 7-2 loss to Easingwold Town.

In Reserve B, Malton & Norton defeated Copmanthorpe 2-0 with Ryan Cooper and Callum Holmes the marksmen. John McKenzie (2), Nathan Harland and Lloyd Crawford secured a 4-4 draw for Civil Service against Fulford.

Jamie Rutherford, Sam Bibby and Alex Wear were on target for Sporting Knavesmire in a 3-2 win over Cliffe, for whom Darren Jackson and Sam Easthill netted.

Simon Wilson (3), Scott Stewart (2) and Joseph Hobson guided Rawcliffe to a 6-0 win against Wheldrake.
