YORK City midfielder Russ Penn is poised to rejoin Kidderminster Harriers, The Press understands.

Neither club has commented on the speculation but it is understood a move has been agreed, with the Press Player of the Month for October set to sign an 18-month contract with the Minstermen's National League North rivals.

His exit - potentially to be completed before Saturday's FA Cup tie at Swindon - could pave the way for new arrivals at Bootham Crescent.

Former City captain Penn re-signed for the Minstermen in May this year and has since made 12 appearances.

The 33-year-old previously played 147 times for Kidderminster between 2005 and 2009, scoring 19 goals. He had stints at Burton Albion and Cheltenham Town before first joining York in 2014 and making 109 appearances in two years - helping the club qualify for the League Two promotion play-offs in 2014.

Spells at Carlisle, Wrexham and Gateshead followed before he returned to Bootham Crescent six months ago.

Kidderminster currently sit fourth in the league, with York 15th.
