THORPE United made it four wins out of four in the reserve 'A' division of the York Minster Engineering Football League thanks to a 4-2 success over Poppleton United.

The result gives them a three-point advantage over Church Fenton, who can also boast an unblemished record, albeit having played one game fewer.

Jay Smyth (2), Thomas Murden and Marcus Ford hit the goals for Thorpe.

Dunnington claimed a 4-3 triumph over old rivals Huntington Rovers thanks to strikes from Kyle Davies, Harry Blackwell and Andy Rose (2).

Paul Scaife, Jon James and Lee Bunce netted as Rovers produced a spirited second-half fightback, but Dunnington were well-disciplined and held on to take all three points.

Tom Rushworth (2) and Joe Fielding struck for Easingwold Town at home to Pocklington Town but the visitors left with the spoils after a 4-3 success.
