DEFENDING champions Dunnington made it two wins from two in the new Yorkshire Premier Squash League squash season thanks to victory over Hallamshire.
Chris Simpson returned from Philadelphia following his exit from the US Open to win for the York side.
He was taken to five games, though, by Hallamshire’s young top string Nick Wall before winning the decider 11-0.
The match had been poised at 2-2 before that point as Benjamin Cross and Danny Hockborn both claimed victories for Dunnington, while the visitors from Sheffield were triumphant through highly promising youngster Oscar Beach and second string Harry Falconer.
Queens Club and Hull & East Riding also maintained winning starts after two rounds.
