YORK City Futsal team could not build on their winning start to the FA Super League season after going down 4-1 in their first home fixture to Oxford City.
The hosts started brightly and forged in front through Daniel Pedras on nine minutes.
But Oxford came back strongly and only good goalkeeping from Martin Michels kept them out before the break.
The game subsequently changed within six minutes of the restart, as poor defending resulted in two away goals.
Oxford then added a third from a well-worked corner before Junior Roberti’s men responded well, only being denied by some brilliant goalkeeping.
In the last-minute, York also flew their goalkeeper and claimed a penalty when the ball seemed to strike an Oxford arm.
It wasn’t given and Oxford lofted the ball from their own area into the empty home goal for a final outcome that was an unfair reflection of the overall game.
York now travel to Southend on Sunday.
