THE Holgate Clubbers team won the York Super 7s Bowls tournament for a fifth time by beating Railway Institute Locos 6-2 in the final at the Institute Green.
The annual end-of-outdoor-season competition is open to members of recognised clubs playing in local leagues, with matches comprising two pairs contests and a triples.
In a semi-final double-header at West Park, Locos enjoyed a convincing 6-2 victory against Holgate Windmills while Clubbers fought back from a seemingly hopeless position to beat Haxby Road Rockets 5-3 by just two shots on the aggregate.
Clubbers then regained the trophy, which was taken last year by a team called Mix & Match, from Railway Institute.
