ALNE ace Toby Price has been picked to represent Team GB in the modern pentathlon at the Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires this month.
Price, a student at Bootham School in York, has enjoyed success in the modern pentathlon since the age of 12 and has competed in a number of international events for his country, including most recently the Under-19s European Cup in Spain.
A member of the Yorkshire Pentathlon Club, Price said of the Youth Olympics: “I am very excited about this opportunity to represent not only my school but my country.”
Price is currently in his final year at Bootham studying for A-levels in physics, biology, mathematics and further mathematics.
He is also in the process of finalising his application to study engineering at a number of top universities including Cambridge and Bath.
