CHARLIE Clamp scored a late long-range lob late to give Selby Town a 2-1 win at Northern Counties East League Division One leaders Winterton Rangers.

Liam Flanagan had given the seventh-placed Robins an early lead which was cancelled out just before half-time by Liam Nelthorpe for the hosts, whose Luke Anderson was dismissed 15 minutes in.

Selby struggled to build momentum against the 10 men of Winterton and it looked as though the game was heading for a draw until Clamp, noticing the Rangers keeper was off his line, struck the 94th-minute winner from over 35 yards.

In the Evo-Stik League East Division, Pickering Town have their first home points on the board as two second-half strikes gave them a 2-0 win over Wisbech Town.

A goalless first period saw man-of-the-match Jamie Barkway collect a yellow card for a seemingly innocuous challenge before Lewis Taylor was denied by a point-blank save following a strong run.

Returning Pikes striker Josh Greening broke the deadlock in the 56th minute, turning his man and slotting through the keeper, and Ryan Blott put the game to bed with a spot-kick 10 minutes on after Joe Danby had been brought down.

In the premier division, a Danny Glover hat-trick gave Nantwich Town 3-2 victory at Scarborough Athletic, who had Wayne Brooksby and James Walshaw on target.

Knaresborough Town remain fourth in the NCEL Premier Division after a 3-0 win at 12th-placed Eccleshill United thanks to Sam Cook, Brad Walker and Rob Youhill strikes.

Harrogate Railway Athletic remain bottom after a 3-2 loss at Handsworth Parramore, with Sean Hunter and Aaron Haswell on target for the visitors.

Harrogate Town are third in the National League after a 4-2 win at Boreham Wood. The finishes came from George Thomson, Aaron Williams, Jack Emmett and an Olufemi Ilesanmi own goal.
