FORMER York City attackers Reece Thompson and Kaine Felix are not expected to feature for Guiseley against their old club at Bootham Crescent tomorrow.

Thompson and Felix are among an absentee roster that moved into double figures last weekend.

Four-goal leading marksman Rowan Liburd became the latest casualty when he limped out of the 4-0 FA Cup victory at Staveley with a pulled hamstring and the former Reading, Wycombe, Stevenage and Leyton Orient forward has joined a packed treatment room this week that also includes two-goal Felix, Thompson, skipper Scott Garner, Will Thornton, Jack Lazenby, Louie Swain, Curtis Morrison, Kayode Odejayi and Lewis Walters.

The Lions are hoping to welcome two or three back from that list, while two Minstermen old boys are available, with midfielder Will Hatfield expected to start and keeper Jon Worsnop likely to be on the bench.

Boss Marcus Bignot was forced to select five academy players in his squad for last weekend’s Cup tie but, despite their injury problems, Guiseley have still managed to embark on a nine-game undefeated run.

That sequence includes winning their last three fixtures with Staveley seen off following a 1-0 win at Alfreton and a 3-0 home triumph over FC United of Manchester.

After a run of 14 matches without a shut-out, they have also avoided conceding in each of those last three game – a feat they have not managed since August 2014.

The Leeds team are also targeting a fourth straight victory for the first time since November 2014, whilst a record of five away matches without a loss is the club’s best record for four years too.

Guiseley have only suffered defeat twice this term – against Boston (0-1) and leaders Chorley (0-2) during their opening contests of the campaign – but a tally of five draws is the highest in National League North.

That statistic has contributed most to Bignot’s men lying 11th in the table, albeit just one point adrift of the play-off positions.

The Netherfield Road outfit’s defensive record of ten goals conceded, meanwhile, is the fourth-best in the division behind Chorley (four), the Minstermen (eight) and Hereford (nine).

Centre-back Harry Flowers will not feature against the Minstermen, having moved on to Solihull Moors this week after failing to make an appearance for the Lions in 2018/19.
