Fans paid tribute to Stephen Darby in the second minute of City's clash at Doncaster.
The 1,200 travelling fans joined together in a booming chorus of 'Stephen Darby baby' in a show of support for the former Bantams captain, who has been diagnosed with motor neurone disease.
City players also warmed up in shirts bearing his name and squad number (two) before the match, while skipper Eoin Doyle wore a captain's armband with his name on.
