YORK City are inviting applications to join the club’s academy, with the intention of adding three more hopefuls to their under-19 squad.
The youth team divide their time between training and playing at the football club for three-and-a-half days in the week and spending one-and-a-half days studying at college.
Any applicants must either be under 17 and ready to start a BTEC (Level 3) in sport, under 18 and willing to start a BTEC (Level 3) in sport or already a BTEC student that wishes to transfer to the club, or under 19 with a BTEC (Level 3) in sport but not an extended diploma.
In addition, the prospective candidates must live within a reasonable daily travelling distance to York as accommodation will not be provided.
The club will pay up to £100 per month to cover individual travel expenses and footballing CVs, including a suitable reference ideally from a coach, academy manager or teacher, should be emailed to academy@yorkcityfootballclub.co.uk
