HEWORTH ARLC blew away Allerton Bywater to ensure their place in the Yorkshire Men's League division one play-off final to be held at Featherstone Rovers' ground next Saturday.

With a monopoly of possession, the table-topping Villagers led 40-0 at half-time at Elmpark Way and ended up 76-0 winners of a one-sided semi-final - scoring 15 tries and eight goals in total.

Allerton never looked like scoring such was the dominance of the Heworth performance, but to their credit they kept going to the end.

Man-of-the-match Fergus Chapman led the try-scoring with four, with other touchdowns coming from George Elliott (2), Billy Sturdy (2), Joe Deighton (2), Liam Watling (2), Liam Cashmore, Jake Atkinson and Liam Jackson.

Elliott kicked five goals and Deighton three.

The best performers for Heworth were Chapman, dual-reg Newcastle Thunder player Ben Dent, fellow former York City Knights star Elliott and Watling.

The buoyant Black and Whites will now meet league runners-up Cutsyke Raiders in the final, after they beat Queensbury 29-12 in their semi-final.
