PROMOTION-chasing York City Knights have announced season ticket prices for 2019 along with a new range of memberships - notably retaining free admission for all under-16s.

Next year will see the club make their long-awaited move into the new Community Stadium alongside football neighbours York City.

The date for the switch is to be confirmed but the ground is expected to open in mid-summer, in the middle of the rugby league season. The Knights will therefore start the campaign in their current Bootham Crescent home.

Season tickets will remain free for all under-16s, although there is a rise in prices for adults.

Early bird 2019 season tickets cost £169 for adults and £139 for concessions, up from £140 and £125 respectively this year. They remain below the standard 2018 prices, though, of £170 and £140.

Matchday prices will rise to £17 for adults and £12 for concessions, from £15 and £10 respectively, but will remain free for U16s.

Prices will be the same at both Bootham Crescent and the Community Stadium.

Concessions include over-65s, people aged 17 to 21, students, and the disabled.

Early bird season tickets are available until 5pm on Friday, August 24, after which prices will increase by 10 per cent.

Fans can choose their Community Stadium seats when buying a season ticket.

None of the above prices will go up if the Knights are promoted to the Championship this year.

A number of exclusive membership packages have also been unveiled for 2019, with early bird prices likewise running until August 24, after which they will rise by 10 per cent.

Basic Knights memberships cost £25 for adults and £15 for concessions, and come with exclusive email updates, exclusive pin badge and one complimentary ticket per season to a home game.

Season ticket memberships also come with discounts on Challenge Cup final tickets.

Other options, with extended benefits for each, include Premier Club Memberships, Vice President Memberships, and Platinum Memberships.

Prices and full lists of benefits for each option can be found on the club's website at yorkcityknights.com

A statement on the website reads: "The ability to budget for the 2019 playing roster is a key component of our organisation and the uptake of sales will show where we will have the opportunity to expand and improve our squad.

"The Knights would like to thank everybody in advance who commits to the club for another exciting season and would urge everybody to take advantage of the early bird prices now. It’s an exciting future ahead and one full of hope and expectation."
