'Gate's Dawn Exton snatched the opener with a 87 bull finish before Natalie Bosworth, Gina Whittaker and Tracey Farmeary replied for the hosts.

Cara Britton and Jill Reed levelled but Farmeary joined with Bosworth and Bev Harton with Jane Janes to seal match points.

Burnholme continued quietly gaining on the leaders with a 6-3 win at Leeman 'B'. Jo and Jean West followed by Marj Pearson, Lynne Wilstrop and Jane Dobson secured victory.

Despite some top scoring from Jody Hancock, Elaine Metcalfe and Doreen Johnstone, Golden Slipper fell 6-3 to visitors Severus ‘B’, who had Sue Gillen, Joyce Kane, Michelle Kelly, Sharon Mountain and Dot Sellars sealing victory.

Edinburgh's final pairing Amanda Bevan and Chris Lamb gamed in 25 darts to snatch 5-4 victory against visitors Marcia.

Clockhouse still hold pole position in division two, with Rose Gray setting the tone for a 6-3 home win over Priory.

Marianne Deamer and Sandra Pallister replied for the visitors for whom Linda Embleton also added a point.

Laura Gatenby and Lauren Tattersfield then levelled, and a clean sweep in the pairs secured Clock the win.

Severus ‘A’ won by the same 6-3 margin over Puss 'N' Boots to keep second spot. Jackie and Glynnis Simpson, Sue Clark and Sue Richardson won to give Sev a good grounding before Alison Buckley and Sandra Flintoft replied for Puss.

Lisa Russell and Kirsty Limbert combined to narrow the gap, but the final two games went to Sev.

Clifton and Leeman ‘A’ were both a player light and ended up sharing the bonus points with a 4-4 tie.
