YORK City will host Leeds United in a pre-season friendly on Thursday, July 19, according to the Championship big guns.
The Bootham Crescent fixture, with a 7pm kick off, was announced as Leeds confirmed their pre-season schedule this afternoon.
The Minstermen themselves have previously confirmed three friendly fixtures - away to Northern League club Shildon on Saturday, July 7 (3pm) and at home to League One side Bradford City on Saturday, July 14 (1pm) and League Two side Grimsby Town on Saturday, July 21 (3pm).
City's players are due to report back for pre-season training on Wednesday, June 27.
Their Vanarama National League North season starts on Saturday, August 4.
Leeds' players, meanwhile, are expected to start their pre-season on June 25.
A warm weather training camp ahead of the campaign had been touted but they will remain on home soil, and, in addition to visiting York, will go to other lower league opposition in Forest Green Rovers (July 17), Oxford United (July 24) and Guiseley (July 26), before hosting Spanish side Las Palmas on July 29. Saturday, July 21 has also been pencilled in for a pre-season fixture away from Elland Road.
