FULFORD 'A' pulled further clear at the top of the York Conservative Clubs Snooker League as they whitewashed Heworth 'B' 7-0.

There was some close frames but all went to Fulford as they moved 10 points ahead at the summit.

Sam Parkinson (20 break) and Jamie Husband (27 break) beat Pete Henderson and Andy Hurley, before Sam England defeated John Sherlock and Cameron Fennell (28 break) beat Andy Ireland.

Russ Shaw, Tom Lewis (23 break) and Tristan Owen completed the victory against Ian Strickland, Simon Whiteley and Peter Rivis (21 break) respectively.

Heworth 'B' also lost 6-1 to their 'A' team with only Rivis taking a victory, beating Craig Pullen.

Heworth 'A' included some fine sequences in their successes for Clive Whyte, John Dowd (38 break), Kevin Gall (51 break), Gary Douglas, Steve Burdett and James Kilmartin (2x39 breaks) against, respectively, Pete Henderson, John McCready, Dave Beattie, John Sherlock, Andy Hurley and Andy Ireland.

Acomb 'A' visited Bootham 'B' and came away with a 5-2 victory to keep in touch with the top two.

Bootham's Paul Mahoney defeated Richard Lillie to boost his attempts to win the league's Player of the Year award for the second year running, but Ian Robinson, who beat Jeff Kean, was their team's only other winner.

For Acomb, Nick Marchant beat Matt Smith, Keith Thornhill (35 break) beat Lionel Barnes, Phil Carlton (38 break) defeated Paul Powell, and Mick Borg (35 break) beat Andy Proud. A walkover completed the score.

Acomb 'B' came from three frames down to edge out Malton 4-3.

Alan Sherry, Steve Beal and Roger Ward defeated Nick Goodacre, Chris Nicholson and Kevin Ventress to give the Ryedale side a great start.

But Acomb turned the tables as Brian Henry beat Dan Pawson, Andy Wade beat Phil Hart, Andy Stone defeated Steve Pawson and Jeff Winter beat Chris Atkinson.

Fulford 'B' lost 6-1 to Bootham 'A' to remain rooted to the foot of the table, Pete Dunmore their only victor. Rob Barron, Andy Wynn, Nathan Brown, Tim Fillingham (breaks of 20 and 22), Barry Rankin and Stuart Martel sealed Bootham's victory.
