ON-LOAN Middlesbrough midfielder Alex Pattison has won The Press Player of the Month award for December.

Pattison finished five points clear of nearest rivals Adriano Moke and Jon Parkin, having never played competitive senior football prior to his arrival at Bootham Crescent midway through the month.

The Darlington-born, 20-year-old topped our Twitter man-of-the-match poll during the 4-1 Boxing Day victory at North Ferriby and last weekend’s 3-2 home defeat to Blyth Spartans, earning him four points towards the standings.

He was also our second-highest rated performer in both matches to collect another four points in the contest.

Veteran marksman Jon Parkin, 36 today, was The Press man of the match during each fixture, giving him six points after netting a combined tally of five goals from the matches.

Our third-highest rated performers Jonny Burn (against Ferriby) and Moke (against Blyth), meanwhile, each received a point each for their efforts.
