RICHARD Brodie has rejoined York City by becoming manager Jackie McNamara’s first summer signing.
But midfielder Luke Summerfield will be leaving Bootham Crescent after rejecting a new contract offer.
Danny Galbraith, meanwhile, has been offered terms for next season, as has first-year professional Callum Rzonca and Tyler Walton, who played as a trialist for City’s youth team last season, while studying at Leeds College.
On the return of Brodie, who netted 37 goals during his last full season with the Minstermen in 2009/10 and left Conference North outfit Stockport last month, McNamara said: “Richard Brodie has signed and comes back with a lot to prove.
“He’s a different player now and has to show he wants to fight for the club.”
More details to follow.
