NEWCASTLE United's Slovakia under-21 international Lubo Satka will join York City on loan next week.

Satka is currently attending a training camp with his country but has agreed, on his return, to take City's loan quota to five - the permitted number in any matchday squad.

The 20-year-old defender has won four U21 caps for Slovakia having also played at U17 and U19 level.

He has one senior appearance to his name for the Magpies' first team - as a 59th-minute substitute for Italian international Davide Santon during a 1-0 FA Cup defeat at Leicester last January.

On the addition of Satka, City boss Jackie McNamara said: "We are waiting for him to come back from Slovakia but he will come in next week. He knows Kyle Cameron from Newcastle as well and looks very comfortable playing with him.

"He can use both feet, is very relaxed on the ball and reads the game well."
