STEPHANE Zubar's loan stay at York City has been extended until the end of the season.
But the Bournemouth centre back will not be available to play before the February 7 home match against Dagenham as he completes a four-match suspension for his second red card of the campaign.
Minstermen manager Russ Wilcox, though, is pleased with the central-defensive options he now boasts for the remainder of the campaign with Keith Lowe, John McCombe and Dave Winfield also on the books.
"It was disappointing to see Stephane get sent off and he must obviously learn from that, but he's done really, really well since being here," the City boss said. "I'm delighted to extend his loan and it adds more competition to the group.
"With Dave Winfield fit again, we have got four quality centre backs and it's important to have that in the building."
