YORK’S Simon Dyson was battling to stay in the Portugal Masters.
Violent thunderstorms in Vilamoura delayed the start of the second round on the Oceanico course, while there was a second stoppage in mid-afternoon.
Still with eight holes left to play, Dyson was two shots shy of the projected midway cut.
