A SERIES of events are being held in North Yorkshire to mark National Fishing Month 2014.
National Fishing Month runs from July 18 to August 31 with four free sessions being held at Pool Bridge Farm at Crockey Hill, near York.
The venue will host sessions on July 19, August 2, August 16 and August 30, between 10am and 4pm.
There is parking, a café and toilets on the site.
Graham Walker, a licensed coach with the Professional Anglers Association, said: "We’re wanting to introduce people to the sport of angling and if you’ve never caught a fish, the coach in the first peg will get that box ticked for you.
"After that a further three or four pegs will have a coach letting you have a go at rod and line, pole and fly fishing with expert advice available."
Everyone attending will receive a goodie bag containing a Get into Fishing booklet, stickers, a certificate and a fishing log book.
