A WORLD wheelie and landspeed record attempt will be made at an event in York.
Among those to take part in the attempts at Elvington Airfield in August 17 and 18 will be some of the world’s fastest bikers, including Jack Frost, Mike Grainger, Jo Stevenson and Becci Ellis, who will battle it out at speeds of close to 260mph.
Stuart Gunn, who was registered blind and disabled after a motorcycle accident, is aiming to become the fastest blind and disabled motorcyclist on the planet, organisers said.
Meanwhile Matt McKeown is racing the world’s fastest shopping trolley. Other stunts will include wheelies at over 180km, world wheelie record attempts, the world land speed record attempt and the UK Stunt Championships.
There will be a bar and DJ on Saturday night as well as catering, parking and seating.
