YORK City will kick off their first full season under manager Nigel Worthington with a Bootham Crescent clash against Northampton Town in League Two.
The Cobblers, last season's play-off final losers at Wembley, will visit the Minstermen on Saturday, August 3.
Worthington's first away game is at Dagenham & Redbridge, the scene of last term's dramatic final day escape from relegation, on Saturday, August 10.
Fallen giants Portsmouth will be at Bootham Crescent on Saturday, September 28, with City fans visiting Fratton Park for the return fixture on Saturday, March 22.
Boxing Day will see City travel to Accrington Stanley, while they will go to Bury three days later before hosting Morecambe on New Year's Day.
The final game of the campaign is a visit to relegated Scunthorpe United on Saturday, May 3.
