HIGH-FLYING Easingwold Town Angels are revelling in their first season in the North East Regional Football League.
The Angels, who were formed three years ago, are second in the league’s northern division having won nine and drawn one of their 15 games.
The Easingwold side have maintained a top-four position following their promotion as champions of the North Riding League last season and they are now six points clear of third place.
The league draws clubs from around the north east as well as the Scottish Borders.
Manager Mark Sherwood said: “Ladies and girls football has really moved on at Easingwold in the last few years and we can’t thank the club enough for their support.
“Sophie Simpson, Sophie Riley and Bobby Barwick have represented North Riding County FA recently, which is a fantastic achievement for the club.”
The club’s next home game is against California on March 17.
The Angels are also fielding a reserve team this season and are on the lookout for new players.
