POLICE have made a renewed appeal for witnesses after a man was killed when his car hit a tree in North Yorkshire.
The 21-year-old’s yellow Peugeot 106 left the A169 road between Whitby and Pickering at the bottom of Saltersgate Bank, near the old Saltersgate Inn, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
He has not yet been named, but was from the Whitby area. Three male passengers, also from the Whitby area, suffered minor injuries.
