A YOUNG woman who suffered serious head injuries when her car hit a tree on a North Yorkshire road has regained consciousness.
Police said the 22-year-old woman was in a poorly but stable condition in Leeds General Infirmary, having previously been critical but stable.
The woman, from the York area, was airlifted to Leeds by the Yorkshire Air Ambulance following the accident on the Helperby to Raskelf road near Easingwold on March 7.
