A YOUNG woman remained in a critical, but stable, condition at Leeds General Infirmary yesterday, five days after she was badly injured when her car hit a tree on a North Yorkshire country road.
The 22-year-old from the York area suffered head injuries in the accident, which happened last Wednesday morning on the road between Helperby and Raskelf, near Easingwold, and was flown by Yorkshire Air Ambulance to hospital.
