A FORMER police officer and ex-director of the body which runs the Great Yorkshire Show has been charged with possessing indecent photographs of children.
Charles Kevin Littleboy, 54, from Howe, Thirsk, appeared before Northallerton Magistrates to face 53 allegations relating to downloading, distributing and possessing illegal images.
North Yorkshire Police confirmed Littleboy had been a serving officer with the force until the early 1990s.
He was also a director of the Yorkshire Agricultural Society, which organises the Great Yorkshire Show in Harrogate, until several years ago. He has been released on conditional bail and will appear before magistrates again on February 9.
