FORGET about watching The X-Factor tomorrow – a town’s own talents will be strutting their stuff in the pub.
The King’s Head, in Malton, is launching its own talent show, which will run until the end of January.
Anyone over the age of 16 is welcome to turn up and have a go, with all the money raised going to the Injured Jockey Fund.
Manager Linda Skelton said the pub held a regular karaoke night but wanted to do something different for Sunday evenings. “It is going to be fun and bring a different aspect to the pub as well as giving something back to the local community,” she said.
Entry costs £5, with a £350 prize for the winner and £150 for the runner-up. The contest starts tomorrow, with the final on January 29.
Anyone who would like to enter can collect an entry form from the King’s Head or phone 01653 692289.
